Sustainable Living Study Tour in Denmark 16 – 29 October 2011
The main aim of the study tour Denmark is to gain direct experience of the most sustainable and innovative aspects of the Danish society and culture. The tour will take us to key eco-centres and cultural sites of interests in Funen, Jutland and Samoe Island. As we focus on the core current global issues of concern, the study tour will explore sustainable living in the different regions of Denmark. We will visit, stay at and take part in practical work in innovative eco-villages and renewable energy centres in the main regions of the country. The programme will include visit to Hans Christian Andersen’s museum in Odense, the Freeland Ecovillage in Djursland, NGO Center in Aarhus, renewable Energy Island of Samso Island and more.
